    1.What we collect

    • Account data: name, email address and (optionally) phone number and organisation. Sign-in is by emailed magic link — we never store a password.
    • Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store your subscription status, plan and a Stripe customer reference — never card details.
    • Preferences: your saved search filters, alert settings and lead statuses/notes.
    • Usage data: log and analytics data about how you use the site and briefings (IP address, device, pages viewed, emails delivered/opened), under legitimate interests.
    • Waitlist data: email addresses submitted through our sign-up forms.

    2.How we use it

    To provide and bill the service; to deliver briefings, alerts and service emails; to improve the product; to prevent fraud and misuse; and to comply with legal and licensing obligations. Lawful bases: contract (service delivery and billing), legitimate interests (product improvement, security, business development), legal obligation (tax, licensing compliance), and consent (marketing emails where required — withdraw at any time).

    3.Data in our briefings

    Our briefings are compiled from official public records (The Gazette, Companies House, HM Land Registry). These records can include personal data made public by law, such as directors' names, insolvency practitioners' business contact details, and proprietor names. We process this public-record data under legitimate interests, in accordance with the publishing registers' terms. If you appear in public records featured in our content and wish to raise a concern, contact hello@dealsourcepro.co.uk.

    4.Who we share data with

    • Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Lovable Cloud / Supabase (hosting and database) — as processors under contract.
    • HM Land Registry: we are contractually required to keep records of end users of Land Registry–derived data and to make those records available to HM Land Registry (or its auditor) for licence-compliance audit, during your subscription and for 12 months after. This sharing is a condition of the service.
    • Authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

    5.Retention

    Account and subscriber records: the life of the subscription plus 12 months (HM Land Registry audit requirement), then deleted or anonymised except where longer retention is required (e.g. tax records, 6 years). Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.

    6.International transfers

    Where processors transfer data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards (IDTA / SCCs with the UK addendum).

    7.Your rights

    Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection — contact hello@dealsourcepro.co.uk. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office ( ico.org.uk).

    8.Cookies and local storage

    We use only what is essential to run the service: authentication/session tokens and your saved preferences. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics cookies in future, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
